Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have lumbar spine MRI results obtained within the past 2 years, allowing radiologic classification of the disease subtype. 2. Patients aged 20–70 years with low back pain who present to the hospital and have a confirmed lumbar spine disorder.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who, at the time of enrollment, require major spine surgery such as discectomy or spinal fusion (Major spine surgery includes any type of discectomy and interbody fusion surgery.) Patients with a neurologic emergency due to a spinal disorder.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
back pain visual analogue scale, PSQI;Radiologic diagnosis based on lumbar MRI, including the degree of intervertebral disc degeneration and the severity of facet joint disease.

MeasureTime frame
Body-surface pressure distribution measured at the mattress–body contact interface during sleep.
