Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy adult men and women aged 20 to 49 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Within the past 6 months: Acute cardiovascular events or absolute contraindications to maximal exercise testing, including acute myocardial infarction within the previous 2 days, ongoing unstable angina, uncontrolled ventricular or severe arrhythmias, or severe resting hypertension (e.g., systolic blood pressure = 200 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure = 110 mmHg). Musculoskeletal conditions that would limit participation in high-intensity lower-extremity resistance exercise, including acute injuries (e.g., ligament or tendon rupture, fracture during recovery) or progressive musculoskeletal disorders that may be exacerbated by exercise. Individuals who have been advised by a physician within the past 6 months to avoid high-intensity exercise, or those deemed unsafe to participate based on the judgment of the principal investigator or medical staff.
