Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Control group: Patients who underwent thyroid lobectomy via the conventional midline approach between 2017 and 2018. 2. Experimental group: - Patients aged =18 and < 80 years who are newly diagnosed with thyroid disease and scheduled for surgery - Patients with no prior history of radiation therapy to the thyroid or head and neck region - Patients without preoperative vocal cord paralysis or structural vocal cord disorders (e.g., vocal cord nodules), indicating the absence of organic voice disorders
