Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ?Adults aged 19 to under 70 years. ?Patients receiving regular hemodialysis three times per week who have adapted to dialysis treatment, with a dialysis duration of at least 3 months ?Individuals who are independent in ambulation and self-care and are medically cleared to perform exercise by their attending physician.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for this study were as follows: ? Individuals identified as high risk for exercise based on the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). ? Individuals diagnosed within the past 6 months with myocardial infarction, stroke, unstable angina, exacerbation of heart failure, arrhythmia, or moderate to severe valvular heart disease. ? Individuals for whom exercise is medically contraindicated, including those with uncontrolled hypertension (systolic blood pressure =180 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure =115 mmHg) or severe anemia (hemoglobin <8.0 g/dL). ? Individuals who are already regularly performing aerobic or resistance exercise at least twice per week for more than 4 consecutive weeks at the time of study initiation. ? Individuals with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis or musculoskeletal pain that limits exercise performance. ? Individuals who have difficulty communicating or are unable to provide informed consent due to psychiatric disorders or dementia. ? Individuals aged 70 years or older, who are classified as vulnerable subjects according to the Human Research Protection Program Standard Operating Procedures (HRPP SOP, 2024) of CHA Bundang Medical Center.

| Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB);Cognitive function: Cognitive function was measured using the short form of the Everyday Cognition Scales (ECog);Health Survey Questionnaire : Short Form-12 Health Survey Questionnaire;General and clinical characteristics: General characteristics include age, sex, education level, religion, presence of a primary caregiver, marital status, occupation, economic status, type of medical coverage (national health insurance or medical aid), four items on physical activity, and two items on depression, comprising a total of 15 items. Clinical characteristics include dialysis duration and biochemical laboratory results (hemoglobin and albumin), which will be collected from the electronic medical records. In addition, physical function and muscle function assessments will be evaluated by the researcher to collect the relevant data. | — |
