Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants were eligible for inclusion if they met all of the following criteria: 1. adults aged between 20 and 90 years; 2. diagnosis of stroke confirmed by computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); 3. chronic stroke defined as more than three months after stroke onset; 4. ability to walk independently or with the assistance of a walking aid; 5. Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score = 23, indicating the ability to understand and follow study instructions; and 6. provision of written informed consent prior to participation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants were excluded if they met any of the following criteria: 1. presence of lower-limb fracture, severe osteoporosis, or musculoskeletal disorders affecting gait; 2. severe joint contracture or restricted range of motion limiting safe gait training; 3. body weight exceeding 135 kg or height greater than 2 m, preventing use of the robotic gait training system; 4. severe cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological conditions that contraindicated exercise participation; or 5. deemed unsuitable for participation by the attending physician.
