Behavioral : This study evaluated an educational intervention for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) rhythm recognition delivered within a mandatory induction program for newly hired EMS providers.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newly hired EMS trainees participating in the mandatory induction program at the fire/EMS academy. Able to understand the study procedures and provide written informed consent. Able to complete the pre- and post-training rhythm-recognition assessments.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Declined participation or withdrew consent. Missing pre- or post-assessment data (including early withdrawal). Prior completion of a highly similar rhythm-recognition training within the past 6–12 months that could substantially affect baseline knowledge (if ascertainable). The 1-month follow-up test is voluntary; non-participants will be excluded only from follow-up analyses but retained in the pre–post analyses.
