Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 65 years or older and under 80 years who underwent total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and were hospitalized for postoperative rehabilitation at Kwechuk Korean Medicine Hospital in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province. 2. Individuals under 80 years of age who underwent total knee arthroplasty, were able to communicate with medical staff, and could follow instructions. 3. Individuals who were diagnosed with Kellgren–Lawrence Grade 3 or higher through imaging before surgery, or were functionally diagnosed with end-stage knee osteoarthritis. 4. Individuals who had undergone surgery at least one week prior. 5. Individuals who underwent unilateral cemented total knee arthroplasty and were able to walk more than 10 meters independently without assistance.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals aged 80 years or older or those who have undergone lower extremity surgery within the past six months were excluded. 2. Individuals with a history of spinal surgery were excluded. 3. Individuals who were unable to walk independently without assistance or assistive devices were excluded. 4. Individuals with a history of rheumatoid arthritis were excluded. 5. Individuals with mental disorders or any type of neuropathy were excluded. 6. Individuals who did not agree to the informed consent of this study were excluded.
