Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to Gwangju 365 Rehabilitation Hospital between June 2022 and March 2025 Patients who underwent hip surgery due to hip fracture or hip osteoarthritis Patients transferred to the rehabilitation hospital after completing acute care at another hospital Patients who received at least 30 days of inpatient rehabilitation treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with neurological diseases such as stroke or Parkinson’s disease that made functional assessment difficult Patients with acute inflammatory conditions that limited functional assessment Patients who underwent hip surgery due to developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) Patients who underwent hip surgery due to avascular necrosis of the femoral head (AVN)

Patients were classified into high- and low-functioning groups based on their functional scores: BBS =41 vs. =40, FAC =3 vs. =2, and K-MBI =75 vs. =74.
