Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: * Inclusion Criteria a) Adults aged 19 years or older who are able to communicate effectively b) Patients capable of using a smartphone and viewing videos sent via SMS c) Outpatients scheduled for colonoscopy with colon-related disease codes according to the Korean International Classification of Diseases (KOICD)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: * Exclusion Criteria a) Patients diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder b) Patients who have already received bowel preparation education or nursing interventions from ward nurses c) Patients scheduled for therapeutic colonoscopy due to bleeding or other clinical indications

Patient knowledge of bowel preparation medication was assessed using a survey developed by Yoo (2009) based on the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy guidelines. The survey consists of 5 items; content is identical but adapted according to the type of bowel preparation medication.;Patient adherence to bowel preparation medication was assessed using a survey developed by Yu(2009) based on the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy guidelines. The survey consists of 5 items; content is identical but adapted according to the type of bowel preparation medication.;Patient knowledge of dietary restrictions was assessed using a survey developed by Yoo (2009) based on the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy guidelines.
