Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - People with normal vision. - People who can speak clearly. - People without a history of acute respiratory disease. - Client of the National Trauma Recovery Centre. - People who showed higher beta wave activity (23-30 Hz) than normal in the electroencephalogram (EEG) test (hyperarousal)(Corsi-Cabrera et al., 2012). - People who understood the purpose of the study and gave written consent before participating in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - People who are doing other breathing exercises besides the box breathing method training. - Alcoholics. - People with a history of acute respiratory disease and dementia. - People taking medications and antidepressants that may affect anxiety and stress. - People who did not consent to this study.
