Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A. Aged 19-64 years B. Patients scheduled for general anesthesia in the operating room of Kyungpook National University Hospital C. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of 1-2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A. Patients with a history of neurological or psychiatric disorders B. Patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease C. Patients with contraindications to the study drug (ketamine) D. Patients with a history of hypertension E. Patients with a history of thyroid disease F. Obese patients with a body mass index (BMI) = 30 kg/m² G. Patients who do not wish to participate in the study H. Vulnerable populations: (1) elderly patients aged = 65 years, (2) minors and children aged < 19 years, (3) pregnant or breastfeeding women

MeasureTime frame
The percent change (%) in nonlinear heart rate variability indices derived from the Poincaré plot (SD1/SD2) — calculated as the change from time point (1) to (2), and from time point (3) to (4).

Percent change (%) in systolic, diastolic, and mean blood pressure — calculated as the change from time point (1) to (2), and from time point (3) to (4)
