Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: This study included patients with chronic shoulder pain lasting more than 6 months, aged between 18 and 75 years(inclusive of 75), and reporting a pain score of 5 or higher on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Participants were selected based on positive results from the Neer test, Hawkins-Kennedy test, and Empty Can test, indicating suspected shoulder impingement syndrome and supraspinatus tendon involvement.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with orthopedic conditions in areas other than the shoulder or those who had received corticosteroid injections for shoulder pain within the past 3 months were excluded. Additional exclusion criteria included the use of analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, or muscle relaxants; a history of shoulder stiffness due to trauma or surgery; rheumatoid arthritis, tumors, or local infections. Pregnant women or those with the possibility of pregnancy were also excluded.
