Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Those who satisfy one of A, B, C, or D, and also meet all of E, F, G, and H. A. Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for Parkinson’s disease i. Individuals fulfilling the diagnostic criteria for definite clinical Parkinson’s disease according to the UK Parkinson’s Disease Society Brain Bank criteria ii. Individuals able to stand and walk independently, and therefore capable of undergoing assessment with the foot scan system, the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, and the Berg Balance Test B. Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for acute unilateral vestibulopathy i. Acute onset of rotational vertigo ii. Mixed horizontal and torsional spontaneous nystagmus iii. Abnormal horizontal semicircular canal function demonstrated either by a pathological head impulse test or by caloric weakness greater than 30% on caloric testing C. Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for chronic bilateral vestibulopathy i. Chronic dizziness and gait disturbance persisting for more than 3 months ii. Imbalance and/or oscillopsia during locomotion iii. Summated slow phase velocity of nystagmus less than 20°/s on bithermal caloric tests D. Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for cerebellar ataxia i. Progressive cerebellar ataxia with onset at age =18 years and disease duration =1 year E. Individuals without a prior history of conditions that may cause vestibular dysfunction or cognitive decline, including stroke, dementia, or other neurodegenerative diseases F. Individuals who are able to understand the study procedures, follow instructions, and communicate effectively G. Individuals who provide informed consent for study participation and follow-up H. Individuals aged between 20 and 80 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: A. Individuals in a medically unstable condition or under immunosuppression B. Individuals with evidence of acute cerebral infarction, cerebellopontine angle tumors, or similar findings on brain imaging C. Individuals showing abnormal findings on neurological examination D. Individuals with other clinically significant diseases (e.g., cerebrovascular disease, cardiopulmonary disease, liver disease, renal disease, malignant tumors, musculoskeletal disorders, psychiatric disorders, etc.) that may hinder study participation, as determined by the investigator E. Individuals with a history of seizures or currently taking medication for epilepsy F. Individuals who are able to understand the study procedures, follow instructions, and communicate effectively G. Individuals who provide informed consent for participation and follow-up in the study H. Any other individuals deemed unsuitable for participation in this study by the investigator
