Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study was conducted over a four-month period, from June to September 2023, and targeted nurses working in the operating rooms of Korea University Guro Hospital. Inclusion Criteria Individuals who understand the purpose of the study and voluntarily agree to participate. Individuals with no impairment of olfactory function. Individuals without current or past diagnoses of pregnancy, hypotension, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, kidney disease, or other physical illnesses requiring treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria Individuals with known allergic reactions to patchouli essential oil. Individuals with prior experience of aromatherapy. Individuals currently engaged in other stress management activities, such as regular exercise or massage. Individuals undergoing pharmacological treatment for psychiatric disorders
