Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Among living liver donors from January 2010 to March 2024, donors who underwent laparoscopic right hemi-hepatectomy between 2018 and 2024 and donors who underwent open right hemi-hepatectomy between 2010 and 2015

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Donors underwent the surgery between the 2016 to 2017 (transition periods) Donors with incomplete data on intermittent hepatic inflow occlusion (IHIO) time Donors who underwent liver resection other than right hemi-hepatectomy Donors who initially underwent laparoscopy but required conversion to open surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
tolerance to hepatic IHIO-induced IR injury defined by the increase in alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST) per minute of IHIO.
