Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic or biliary tract cancer (stage = 3), those with ECOG performance status = 2, and those who could be followed until death or for = 6 months from the time of diagnosis were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients aged 80 years old with severe mental disorders, a history of thrombosis unrelated to cancer, concurrent malignancies in other organs, current use of oral antiplatelet or other antithrombotic agents, a history of anticoagulant medication use for conditions such as atrial fibrillation, end-stage renal disease or creatinine clearance = 30 ml/min, ECOG performance status = 3, or a history of major bleeding events, including intracranial hemorrhage, gastrointestinal bleeding, or pulmonary hemorrhage, were excluded.
