Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients scheduled to undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia Classified as American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status I, II, or III Aged 65 years or older and younger than 80 years at the time of surgery Provides written informed consent after receiving a full explanation of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known hypersensitivity or contraindications to study drugs (e.g., remimazolam, flumazenil) Body Mass Index (BMI) = 35 Abnormal liver function (e.g., liver enzymes = 5 times the upper normal limit) or renal impairment (eGFR < 45 mL/min/1.73m²) Current use of psychiatric medications Inability to understand or complete questionnaires due to illiteracy or cognitive impairment Refusal to participate in the study or withdrawal of informed consent Any condition deemed by the investigator to pose unacceptable risk or interfere with study procedures
