Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were as follows: 1. Adults aged =40 and <60 years diagnosed with metabolic syndrome 2. Current users of Android smartphones 3. The PREVENT (Predicting Risk of Cardiovascular Disease EVENTs) equation score =7.5%, corresponding to at least moderate 10-year cardiovascular disease risk 4. Ability to walk independently for 30 minutes (4,000–5,000 steps) without assistive devices 5. No cognitive impairment that would interfere with communication

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: (a) Pregnancy; (b) Presence of orthopedic or neurological conditions that could limit physical activity; (c) Psychiatric disorders (e.g., major depressive disorder, schizophrenia) that would impede participation; (d) Conditions such as heart failure, renal failure, stroke, or malignant neoplasm that require medication or otherwise hinder physical activity.
