Dietary Supplement : The intervention group took 900 mg of Hawthorn berry extract powder (manufacturer: BulkSupplements.com, Henderson, NJ, US
product name: Hawthorn berry extract powder) daily for 24 weeks. The product’s nutritional label recommends a daily intake of no more than 1500 mg. The control group took an equivalent amount of corns

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy adult men and women between 25 and 75 years of age

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Persons with chronic diseases(such as liver, kidney, and cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, blood-related diseases, etc.), those who regularly take medication due to diseases, those who are currently taking herbal medicine or nutritional supplements, those who have experienced allergic symptoms when taking food or nutritional supplements, pregnant or lactating women, etc., and those who are deemed unsuitable as research participants (those with anemia symptoms, those with a history of blood not stopping well or bruising when collecting blood in the past, those who donated blood in the past 3 months, etc.) were excluded.
