Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) age years 19 or older (2) diagnosis of stroke at least six months prior to enrollment (3) assessed for aphasia following a stroke, based on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) criteria (4) normal cognitive abilities deemed sufficient for therapy app (tablet device) use by clinicians (5) no impairments in vision, hearing, or motor function that would affect tablet use

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) major co-existing neurological disorders such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease (2) severe mental health conditions such as major depression, schizophrenia, or alcohol dependence (3) insufficient cognitive abilities for independent device use (Mini-Mental State Examination score = 26) (4) illiteracy.
