Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Parents (aged =18 years) of premature infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). 2. Able to read and communicate effectively in Korean. 3. No history of diagnosed neurological or psychiatric disorders, nor prior treatment for substance abuse. 4. Not currently requiring medical treatment for postpartum complications or significant physical or mental health conditions. 5. Infants born prematurely (birth weight <2,500 g or gestational age <37 weeks), without severe chromosomal abnormalities, genetic disorders, congenital malformations, life-threatening complications, or ongoing life-sustaining treatments (e.g., invasive ventilation, ECMO).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Parents of twins or multiples if a sibling is already enrolled in the study. 2. Parents with prior NICU experience with another infant. 3. Parents displaying significant psychiatric symptoms or requiring clinical mental health interventions. 4. Inability to participate due to infant death or significant health deterioration during the study period.
