Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A. One or more of the following symptoms—dizziness, unsteadiness, or non-spinning vertigo—persist for at least three months. At least one dizziness symptom lasting for several hours or more occurs on 15 or more days per month. The severity of symptoms may fluctuate. Symptoms may not necessarily persist all day. B. Symptoms persist without specific triggers and are exacerbated by at least one of the following three factors: Upright posture Active or passive motion occurring regardless of direction or posture Exposure to moving visual stimuli or complex visual patterns C. PPPD may be preceded by various vestibular syndromes that cause vertigo, unsteadiness, dizziness, or balance problems. Other neurological or medical conditions, as well as psychological stress, may also serve as preceding events for PPPD. If the preceding event is acute or episodic, the characteristic dizziness of PPPD may begin when the preceding event resolves. Initially, the symptoms may occur intermittently but may become persistent over time (meeting criterion A). If the preceding event is a chronic syndrome, symptoms may initially develop gradually and worsen progressively. D. Symptoms cause clinically significant distress and functional impairment. E. Symptoms cannot be better explained by another disease or condition.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Individuals with a prior diagnosis of another neuropsychiatric disorder. ? Individuals with a history of treatment for other conditions, including potential secondary causes of dizziness. ? Individuals with a history of alcohol dependence or those who have abused alcohol or drugs within the past eight weeks. ? Individuals deemed by the researcher to have clinically significant conditions (e.g., cerebrovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, cardiovascular or pulmonary disease, liver disease, kidney disease, blood disorders with potential bleeding abnormalities, malignancies, musculoskeletal disorders, or psychiatric disorders) that would make study participation difficult. ? Women of childbearing potential and pregnant women. ? Individuals who do not consent to participate in the study.
