Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients will be included in the study if all the following criteria are met: • A patient who is at 18 years if age or older with a documented diagnosis of MDS (ICD-10 code of D46) from September 1st 1994 to April 1st 2022 at SMC. • A patient who has had healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) data at SMC.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any patient who was diagnosed with documented AML or confirmed to have = 20% blasts in the bone marrow or peripheral blood within one month after the index date will be excluded from the study.

Disease burden of RBC transfusion dependence in myelodysplastic syndromes as identified in terms of healthcare resource use and medical costs
