Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: * Individuals who exhibit the following primary symptoms of social anxiety disorder and meet the diagnostic criteria for social anxiety disorder according to the DSM-5-TR: - A persistent, intense fear or avoidance of one or more social situations in which they may be scrutinized by others, lasting for at least six months. - Examples of such situations include social interaction (e.g., having a conversation or meeting a stranger), being observed (e.g., eating or drinking in public), or performing in front of others (e.g., giving a speech). - The person fears that they will behave in a way that will be negatively evaluated by others (appearing embarrassing or humiliating, appearing to reject or attack others) or that they will display anxiety symptoms. - Individuals who have not received psychiatric medication or psychotherapy in the past three months or are not currently undergoing such treatments * Individuals diagnosed with social anxiety disorder based on the structured clinical interview (SCID-5_CV) * Adults aged between 19 and 40 years * individuals who understand and agree with this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Individuals with evidence of intellectual disability or organic brain damage - Individuals with a history of exposure therapy within the past 3 months - Individuals who currently experience or have experienced psychotic symptoms (schizophrenia spectrum disorder, mood disorders with psychotic symptoms) vulnerable to virtual reality experiences, as assessed by the Structured Clinical Interview (SCID-5-CV) - Individuals experiencing difficulty participating in research using VR devices - Individuals vulnerable to visual stimuli, such as those with epilepsy - Individuals with a history of substance abuse or dependence (substance use disorder) within the past year - Individuals who have attempted suicide/self-harm within the past 3 months or currently have suicidal plans
