Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) American society of Anesthesiology physical status 1-3 2) 20 =adults < 80 3) Patients who are scheduled for elective cervical spine operation with intraoperative motor evoked potentials in Orthopedic surgery department.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Preoperative neurological deficit, particularly, muscle strength grade < 3 2) Ejection fraction < 40% or significant aortic regurgitation or significant arrhythmia 3) Abnormal pulmonary function test: more than moderate obstructive or restrictive pattern 4) Patients with tolerance or hypersensitivity to benzodiazepine 5) Patients with dependence or addiction to psychotropic drugs or alcohol 6) Patients with previous brain-related neurosurgery 7)Patients with inserted status of intracranial device 8)Pregnant and lactating women 9)Patients with pacemaker insertion which may interfere evoked potentials test 10)Patients with acute narrow angle glaucoma 11)Patients with moderate hypersensitivity to Dextran40 12)Patients with history of malignant hyperthermia or having genetic susceptible malignant hyperthermia 13)Previous hypersensitivity history to halogenated inhalation agents
