Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with periapical periodontitis and requiring root canal treatment or re-endodontic treatment at the Seoul National University Dental Hospital Department of Dental Conservation and the Central Oral Care Center for the Disabled are eligible. Regardless of previous root canal treatment • Show periapical radiolucency greater than 3 mm in diameter; • Teeth showing intra- or extra-radicular resorption due to trauma or periapical lesions. • Among the mature permanent teeth of adults with intraoral fistulas, incisors or premolars with a straight single root canal and those with a master apical file of ISO # 40 or higher are targeted.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Teeth showing crown-root fracture, root fracture, or vertical root fracture. • Calcified root canal • Teeth with less than 2 walls of coronal wall remaining. • Teeth that have previously undergone apicoectomy and backfilling procedures • Teeth with severely curved root canals. • Upper and lower molars with multi-rooted canals. • Teeth affected by periodontitis with periodontal pocket depth of 5 mm or more
