Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Men and women aged 55 to 85 years. 2) Individuals diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria, or those who do not meet the criteria for MCI but subjectively report cognitive decline. Mild cognitive impairment must be evidenced by a mild decline in one or more cognitive domains compared to previous levels. This decline can be based on concerns raised by the patient, a knowledgeable informant, or a clinician. Additionally, it must be quantitatively supported by a score of less than 23 on the Korean version of the MoCA. The cognitive decline should not interfere with the individual's ability to perform independent daily activities, nor should it occur solely in the context of delirium or be better explained by another mental disorder. 3) Individuals who have clearly understood the study and voluntarily express their intention to participate, signing the informed consent form. 4) Individuals seeking TKM treatments (acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine, etc.), including acupotomy, for cognitive decline.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Individuals diagnosed with major neurocognitive disorder (dementia) according to the DSM-5 criteria. 2) Individuals who are illiterate, blind, deaf, or have severe speech disorders that make testing difficult. 3) Individuals who cannot understand Korean. 4) Individuals deemed unsuitable for participation in this clinical study at the discretion of the researcher.
