Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals aged 40 to 79 years Those diagnosed with severe periodontal disease requiring the extraction of four or more teeth (observation group criteria) Those with oral health in good condition, not requiring any separate dental treatment (control group criteria)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have taken antibiotics within the last month Pregnant women and women planning to become pregnant Breastfeeding women Women within six months postpartum Individuals who have participated in another clinical study within the last month Individuals deemed unsuitable for participation in the study by the investigator

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The levels of six bacteria (P. gingivalis, T. denticola, T. forsythia, P. intermedia, C. rectus, F. nucleatum) based on Shotgun and 16s rRNA test results.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Anti-inflammatory markers (IL-1ß, TNF, MMP, IL-1A, IL-1B, IL-6, IL-10, MMP-3, MMP-9, inflammatory gene methylation, miRNA), age, socioeconomic status, lifestyle habits, oral hygiene habits, dietary habits.
