Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants in the study must be adults aged 40 to 64 years (middle-aged adults). They must feel socially isolated or experience depressive symptoms. Initially, participants are screened using a questionnaire based on the following criteria: Scoring 12 or above on the Korean Mental Health Screening Tools for Depressive disorders, indicating a moderate depressive symptoms. Scoring 6 or above on the UCLA loneliness Scale, indicating loneliness symptoms. Subsequently, participants undergo a pre-assessment through face-to-face interviews (or via the online platform Zoom if scheduling face-to-face meetings is difficult) to confirm the extent of their depressive symptoms.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants with neurological abnormalities (such as intellectual disabilities, Parkinson's disease, dementia), acute psychosis or mania, severe suicidal ideation, addiction disorders (such as alcohol addiction, gambling addiction), or eating disorders will be excluded from the study, as these conditions are deemed to interfere with the smooth implementation of the program.
