Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients showing more than one condition described below ? teeth with interproximal clinical attachment loss more than 5 mm ? teeth with radiographic bone loss more than mid1/3 of root length ? tooth extraction history due to periodontal disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? mental retardation ? depressive disorder ? panic disorder ? mental disorder ? patient with intraoral acute infection ? patient who cannot understand and answer spontaneously

MeasureTime frame
Autonomy Preference Index (API) : 6 questions of API (Q1. Doctor should make decision when it's important for treatment. Q2. I follow the doctor's recommended decision even if I don't agree or understand. Q3. I should not make any decision in treatment if I'm hospitalized. Q4. I should make every decision of medical issues on me. Q5. I want the doctor to make every decision on treatment if my disease is getting worse. Q6. I should decide the follow-up interval time periods.)

Patient preference in decision making for tooth extraction : 4 questions (Q1. I want to save my teeth as much as possible. Q2. I would be satisfied as long as I can eat well. Q3. I can endure the occasional discomfort on chewing. Q4. I can visit dental clinic every 2~3 months.)
