Drug : Epidural steroid injection with 4 mg of steroid (dexamethasone) vs. 8 mg

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 2) Patients undergoing epidural steroid injection at pain clinic due to disc degeneration, spinal stenosis, and/or post-spinal surgery syndrome

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with severe cardio-pulmonary, cerebrovascular disease 2) Active infection 3) Hypersensitivity to drugs used in this study (eg. local anesthetics, steroid, contrast) 4) Pregnant or breast-feeding 5) On anti-coagulation or anti-platelet agents 6) Already on steroid for other specified reasons 7) Poorly controlled diabetes with complications (Hb A1C >8%) 8) Patients who received epidural steroid injections within the last month
