Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 13 years or older with best corrected visual acuity of 20/25 or better. Patients with X(T) of 8 PD or more at distance and a near angle of exotropia equal to or greater than the distance angle of exotropia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exodeviation greater at distance than at near, best corrected visual acuity worse than 20/25, amblyopia with a difference of more than two lines, high myopia or high hyperopia greater than 7 D, subjects wearing bifocals or progressive lenses, paralytic or restrictive exotropia, sensory exotropia, coexisting vertical deviation greater than 5 PD, dissociated vertical deviation, ocular disease, chromosomal abnormality, or systemic disorder that could affect ocular alignment.
