Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who - underwent non-extraction treatment - had a complete dentition except for the third molars - had fixed retainers attached to both the upper and lower anterior teeth - achieved functional occlusion and treatment goals
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who - had undergone orthognathic surgery - presented with a high decayed, missing, filled teeth index or malformed teeth - refused to have fixed retainers attached to the anterior teeth - had facial asymmetry, temporomandibular joint symptoms, allergies, or a history of periodontal disease
