Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Individuals aged 65 and above 2) Those experiencing knee joint pain rated 3 or higher on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) 3) Individuals diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis by an orthopedic surgeon

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Individuals with lower limb trauma within the past 3 weeks. 2) Individuals with neurological symptoms and injuries in the lower limbs. 3) Individuals with medical issues related to the cardiovascular system.

MeasureTime frame
The pain level was explained as follows: 0 means 'no pain', 5 means 'moderate pain', and 10 means 'pain so severe that it is unimaginable'. Participants recorded their pain level at the time of measurement using a questionnaire.;Knee Disability Index: Consists of a total of 24 items, with detailed items including pain (5 items), joint stiffness (2 items), and physical function (17 items), measured using a questionnaire.;Quality of Life: Assessed through a questionnaire covering five domains: anxiety/depression, self-care, pain/discomfort, usual activities, and mobility.

Balance Ability: Evaluated using a scale assessing static and dynamic balance abilities, divided into three areas: sitting, standing, and postural changes, consisting of 14 detailed items.;Muscle Thickness and Contraction Rate: Measurement of quadriceps muscle thickness involves measuring the thickness of the rectus femoris (RF), vastus medialis (VM), vastus lateralis (VL), and vastus medialis obliquus (VMO) in sequence. Contraction rate is calculated using the formula: Contraction Rate = ((Thickness during contraction - Thickness during relaxation) / Thickness during relaxation) * 100.
