Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 19 or older and under 75 years of age. 2. Individuals whose blood pressure measured on the selected arm at the screening point meets the following criteria: - If not receiving antihypertensive medication: 140 mmHg = MSSBP (mean sitting SBP) < 180 mmHg. - If receiving antihypertensive medication: 130 mmHg = MSSBP (mean sitting SBP) < 180 mmHg. 3. Individuals who, after receiving a detailed explanation of this observational study and fully comprehending it, voluntarily consent to provide medical information, and personal information, and agree to their utilization for research purposes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who, on both arms, have measurements taken at least 2 minutes apart, and exhibit a difference of at least 20 mmHg in systolic blood pressure (SSBP) and 10 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure (SDBP) over three consecutive readings. 2. Individuals selected with the designated arm at the screening point who have a mean sitting systolic blood pressure (MSSBP) = 180 mmHg or mean sitting diastolic blood pressure (MSDBP) = 110 mmHg. 3. Patients with known liver or kidney diseases requiring treatment. 4. Secondary hypertension patients. 5. Individuals previously diagnosed with significant cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, or severe arrhythmias. 6. Those who have been diagnosed with or received treatment for neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, within the past 2 months. 7. Individuals deemed unsuitable for modified Saengmaek-san treatment by the attending physician for various medical reasons.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change of mean systolic blood pressure

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Change of mean systolic blood pressure;Change of mean diastolic blood pressure; The rate of normalization of mean sitting systolic/diastolic blood pressure (the rate of patients with mean sitting systolic/diastolic blood pressure below 140/90 mmHg);The rate of Blood pressure responsiveness (the proportion of patients with a reduction in mean sitting systolic blood pressure of 20 mmHg or more, or a reduction in mean sitting diastolic blood pressure of 10 mmHg or more).;Changes in individual parameter values of 3D blood pressure waveform analysis equipment.;Changes in European Quality of Life Five Dimension Five Level Scale (EQ-5D-5L) questionnaire scores
