Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals with chronic or acute brain lesions (including conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, etc.) who have a Functional Ambulation Category (FAC) score of 3 or higher, allowing them to ambulate independently without assistance. Those with upper limb scores on the Fugl-Meyer Assessment of 30 points or more and a Berg Balance Scale score of 38 points or higher, indicating the ability to perform upper limb exercises with assistive devices and independent ambulation with no risk of falling. Individuals with elbow joint range of motion (ROM) of Poor or better on Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), enabling them to perform controlled movements. Those with a Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) score of 1+ or lower on the affected side, capable of participating in assistive device use and customized exercise programs. Individuals with a Mini-Mental State Examination in Korean (MMSE-K) score of 24 or higher, demonstrating an understanding of exercise programs and the ability to follow instructions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: In cases where evaluation is not possible due to cognitive and communication issues, or when individuals have coexisting challenging medical conditions in internal or surgical fields (such as cancer, severe organ failure, etc.).
