Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible patients who met the following criteria are enrolled: 1) undergoing maintenance hemodialysis, 2) ages between 20 and 70, and 3) complaining of discomfort due to skin dryness and itching.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who met at least one of the following criteria are excluded: 1) in active states of dermatitis requiring systemic corticosteroids or immunosuppressants, 2) with allergic dermatitis from cosmetic usage, 3) previous treatment with topical corticosteroids within the past four weeks or 4) skin infection requiring oral or topical antimicrobial therapy.
