Interventions

Behavioral : Participants will be randomly assigned to either stair climbing exercise (n=14) or non-exercising control (n=14) groups after completing all baseline evaluations. Stair climbing exercis
49(2):298-307). This will be done within 10 minutes per session, which will include a 3-min warm-up. During each stair climbing interval, participants will be instructed to ascend six flights of stair

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: BMI : 25.0 – 34.9 kg/m2 No participation in structured exercise programs for past three months before study entry No significant weight change (? BMI<±3 kg/m2) for past three months before study entry

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with the following conditions will be excluded: Diagnosed with arthritis, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, diabetes) and psychiatric disorders Taking medications related to body composition, glucose and lipid metabolism Unable to communicate with research staff
