Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) 19 to 65 years old. 2) a patient under general anesthesia 3) Patients in ASA class I to II 4) Patients with no history of chest anatomical abnormalities or surgery 5) Patients with normal chest X-ray findings for preoperative evaluation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) a patient who has no history of surgery or birth defects in the thoracic cavity 2) Patients with asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, pneumothorax, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and epileptic lung disease 3) a patient who has difficulty communicating with the examiner

Predictive equations of MIP, MEP, and MVV are determined for normal Koreans
