Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age of 5–9 years. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II. Scheduled for elective strabismus surgery under general anesthesia with bilateral eye patching. Had a parent or legal guardian who provided written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known drug allergy, Psychiatric history, Underlying cardiovascular or neurologic disease, Prior use of sedatives or antipsychotics.
