Interventions

Drug : Two types of 1L PEG + Asc were used
CleanViewAL® or Plenvu® (n=89) group. Bowel cleansing was performed using the split-dose method, and colonoscopy examinations were performed within 5–7 h of administration of the last cleansing agent.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible patients who visited the hospital for colonoscopy and had no experience of 1-L PEG-Asc were enrolled in the study. The inclusion criteria were as follows: 1) men and women aged =20 years and =60 years, and 2) voluntary agreement of study protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients meeting any of the following criteria were excluded: 1) age 60 years, 2) cognitive impairment or inability to provide informed consent for the study (for ex-ample language barrier), 3) bowel obstruction, 4) severe constipation [bowel move-ment <3 times/week], 5) history of gastrointestinal tract surgery, 6) severe underlying diseases such as liver cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), heart failure, coro-nary heart disease, and chronic kidney disease 7) pregnant or lactating woman, and 8) a history of hypersensitivity to bowel cleansing agents.
