Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women under the age of 40 who work at company S in Gyeonggi Province, Korea, each with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 kg/m2 or higher and abdominal circumference of 85 cm or more, were recruited, and those who signed on the forms ensuring in-formed consent to participate in the study were enrolled. and this study was approved by the institutional review board at Korea National Sports University (1263-202106-BR-011-02).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those aged 40 or older, taking medication, have diseases.

The HIIT group showed reduced body fat (p=.036), BMI (p=.021), and visceral fat (p=.003) com-pared to the MICT group. Further, the HIIT group also had reduced insulin (p=.021) and LDL levels (p=.024), increased grip strength (left p=.012, right: p=.002).
