Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A. Among patients undergoing total knee replacement because pain could not be controlled despite conervative treatment (drugs and physical therapy) after being diagnosed with primary osteoarthritis B. The patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes in the past, or The patients with a glycated hemoglobin a1c level of 6.5% or higher in a blood test before surgery, even if not diagnosed C. The patient whose glycated hemoglobin a1c level was under 7.05% D. The patients who understood the contents of the study and agreed to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A. Over 80 years old B. The patients with revision knee replacement C. Not primary osteoarthritis (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gouty arthritis, lupus arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, etc.) D. The patients whose glycated hemoglobin a1c level is over 7.05% E. The patients who underwent surgery under spinal anesthesia instead of general anesthesia F. The paitnets underwent other surgeries simultaneously with total knee arthroplasty G. The patients who have been used steroid before surgery due to the patient's underlying disease (eg, patients receiving steroid inhaler treatment, patients receiving steroid supplementation therapy due to adrenal dysfunction, etc.) H. The patients who used patient controlled analgesia I. The patients who injected steroid within 3 months before surgery (including intravenous and intra-articular) J. The patients who use steroids other than for the purpose of this study during the hospitalization period after surgery (e.g., spinal or joint injection) K. The patients who need an additional treatment is required due to a medical emergency after surgery (eg, stroke, acute coronary syndrome, acute respiratory distress syndrome) L. The patients who are allergic to dexamethasone
