Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) patients who underwent both CBCT and intraoral scans; (2) the CBCT scan was taken with a single CBCT scanner (RAYSCAN a+; Ray Co. Ltd) (90 kV, 12 mA, 14 s, 200 µm isotropic voxel size, interval distance 200 µm, FOV 10 × 10 cm); and (3) the intraoral scan was taken with a single intraoral scanner (3Shape TRIOS 3; 3Shape).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: (1) the CBCT and intraoral scans exhibited different dentition status and (2) both scans revealed a single arch with less than four natural teeth remaining.
