Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The subjects of this study were those between the ages of 40 and under 65 who lived in Busan and Yangsan, and had at least one of the five metabolic syndrome risk factors. The five metabolic syndrome risk factors based on the IDF and NCEP ATP III guidelines are: ? Waist circumference: men >90cm, women >85cm ? Serum triglycerides =150mg/dL ? Serum HDL-cholesterol: men <40mg/dL, women <50mg/dL ? Systolic blood pressure =130mmHg or under medication to control hypertension ? Blood sugar =100mg/dL or drug administration for blood sugar control Subjects must meet the following criteria to be enrolled in the trial. (1) Ability to read, write, understand Korean (2) Walking and running without restriction (3) Answering ‘No’ to all of the Physical Activity Preparation Questionnaires (PAR-Q) (4) Eating and digesting without restriction (5) Possession and capability of mobile device (6) Without other diseases including psychiatric diseases (7) Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Regular exercise more than 3 days/week, 30 miutes/day or more (2) Participating in dietary therapy has been prescribed from a specialist (3) Participating in other programs to improve exercise and eating habits (4) Cardiopulmonary disease or musculoskeletal disease that interferes with exercise program performance (5) Serious complications due to metabolic syndrome (6) Taking blood pressure medications (7) Pregnant or Nursing
