Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Nasopharyngeal carcinoma - Primary nasopharyngeal carcinoma that has been pathologically confirmed - No distant metastasis based on PET-CT imaging (T0 to T4, N0 to N3, M0 (AJCC 7th edition)) - Age 18 years or older - Consented to participate for the study ? Oropharyngeal carcinoma - Primary oropharyngeal carcinoma that has been pathologically confirmed - No distant metastasis based on PET-CT imaging (T0 to T4, N0 to N3, M0 (AJCC 7th edition)) - Age 18 years or older - Metastatic cervical lymph nodes confirmed as squamous cell carcinoma should have p16 immunostaining positive results (TxN+M0) - Consented to participate for the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Other primary cancer diagnosed ? Metastatic cervical lymph node of squamous cell carcinoma that has p16 IHC negative results ? Recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal carcinoma ? Patients with previous treatment history of RT or chemotherapy for nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal carcinoma ? Unable for blood sampling ? Refused to participate for the study
