Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants were recruited through invitations on flyers, posters and internet bulletins of social welfare institutes for migrant workers. The inclusion criteria were foreign workers, who were legally employed adults under 40 years of age working full-time, with intermediate-level Korean or Level 3 or higher qualification in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK); and with a smart cellular phone and the ability to use mobile applications. It should be noted that TOPIK Level 3 is equivalent to intermediate-level Korean language proficiency, which makes it possible to perform basic language functions necessary for using various public facilities and maintaining social relations without any difficulty for a fully functioning daily life. Illegal migrants and those who had participated in other health promotion programs in the preceding three months were excluded. We initially recruited 66 migrant workers to participate in this study; however, 19 did not meet the inclusion criteria and five dropped out during the intervention. The final analysis therefore included data from 42 workers.
