Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study subjects are 240 adults aged 20~80 years with obese (BMI?25kg/m2) and NAFLD identified through liver sonography.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria include excessive alcohol consumption; positive hepatitis B surface antigen or anti-hepatitis C virus antibody; diagnosis of liver cirrhosis or malignancy; diagnosis of serious level of chronic disease (stroke, myocardial infarction); taking on medication for treatment of fatty liver or obesity.
