Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status (PS) I-III, administered with intravenous DMED during the surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who were given an intravenous opioid-based patient-controlled analgesia device at the end of anesthesia 2) Patients who had severe hepatic or renal impairment 3) Emergent operation 4) Patients whose pre-anesthetic heart rate was less than 50 beats per minute (bpm)
