Interventions

Others(dark chocolate) : Two different dark chocolates with 85&#37
and 70&#37
cocoa content were tested in this study. Participants were randomly assigned into one of the following groups: control group
85&#37
cocoa chocolate group
cocoa chocolate group. Subjects in the 85&#37
cocoa chocolate group consumed 10g of chocolate per time, and three times a day at the same time for 3 weeks while the control group was not supplied with any chocolate.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible subjects were healthy men and women who were between 20 and 30 years of age

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who 1) eat sweets such as candy, chocolate, and cake more than twice a day, 2) had a history of a gastrointestinal tract surgery or disease, 3) received antibiotics within 3 months, 4) took a pre-/pro-biotics within 6 months, 5) had diabetes, 6) had Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) score =16.
